HyperX Cloud I or HyperX Cloud II

I know the Cloud II's have a built in soundcard and only one 3.5mm jack for the headphones, and a USB soundcard. Where as the Cloud I have 2 3.5mm jacks for the headphones and mic.

My logitech g430's USB soundcard sounded like pure garbage, so I didn't use it. I was wondering if it's worth it to get the Cloud II's with the soundcard or just get the Cloud I's. Is my motherboard's soundcard better than the USB one on the cloud II's? That's the question really.

My motherboard is the Gigabyte GA-970A-D3P.

My motherboard, a gaming MSI Z87 something or other, can't drive my Clouds adequately even though they advertise as having a built in amp capable of "driving 600 ohm headphones".  It can for games, but it can't for some movies without adjusted volume through software, and it can't for most streaming services.  Some people don't have a problem driving them from the motherboard.  You won't know until you try unless you can find someone with your exact board and these exact headphones. However if they can't you can just get a cheap headphone amp.

If I didn't have an amp I would have to get the Cloud 2s knowing what I know, but if I didn't know I would get the original Clouds and get a cheap headphone amp if required.
