Ok so I had windows 8.1 on an SSD. I put a copy of Windows 10 on a flash drive, booted into it, erased my windows 8 partition so the disk was empty, but it said I couldn't install to the drive cuz it was mbr and needed to be gpt. That wasn't a problem so I went over to my laptop, put a copy of gparted gnome onto a flash drive, and booted to that on my desktop. Then I completely wiped the ssd(it was already empty, but just for good measure) and converted it to gpt. I then rebooted into the windows instalation and it installed (maybe), but when pc rebooted (and yes I made sure to boot to the SSD, my monitor read, "reboot and select a proper boot device". Just in case I went back to my windows installation flash drive and tried to reinstall, but it said that it couldn't install to that partition (and I could see that Windows had installed on it because 10gb of the SSD were being used).so I repeated the process with gparted, which allowed me to try to install win 10 again, but I was greeted with the same boot device error! Ideas?

I can help with programming and hardware.
