Burnout Paradise Multiplayer

I purchased the Origin humble bundle and with it I received Burnout Paradise.
When I try and use the online features to play with friends it wont let me sign in and when i try and create a new account it tells me that my product code is invalid.
On google searching this problem i found that EA had stopped running the servers for the game or something to that effect.
I was just wondering if there was a work around, maybe some way that i could host the server myself and let my friends connect to me?

You can try use Tunngle and play as lan

I figured it out
if you go into the start menu by pressing esc then you can press F1 until you get to a page that says freeburn online and there you can sign in using your origin ID
