So I have only 1 pair of headphones which I use for both on the computer and on my phone.

Whenever I try to take the headphones out of the front socket of my pc (where it has always before been fine) my pc flips out so when I try to use them again in the pc they are not recognised and picked up, I have tried updating my various drivers which has seemed to work before but now everything is fully updated and I can no longer use my headphones as they are not recieved on my computer.

When clicking on it to resolve the problem it says "The peripheral does not appear to be plugged in. Check the connection. Proceed to next step to finish." It never does pick up the headphones so I cannot proceed

This has been going on for a while and I was wondering if there was a easy way to fix it or whether my headphone port is broken.

I need help because I love to listen to music so its really annoying if you have any useful information please tell me. (Btw I'm windows 10)

The Wheel of Time turns, and Ages come and pass, leaving memories that become legend. Legend fades to myth, and even myth is long forgotten when the Age that gave it birth comes again.
