clean install windows 10?

Can I upgrade/install windows 10 on to a different drive than my windows 8.1 is on? How do I do this? Would I have to put it on a flashdrive then transfer it to the new drive?

Yup. Get the latest version from here. Click on the button for Download tool now, not the Upgrade now. You can then use the 8.1 key during the installation.
