My GTX 980 is on it's way and I though I should upgrade from my Acer K242HL (No DP ports) and my parents offered to buy me a monitor for up to £300 for Christmas. I would like to run a dual monitor set up, my current monitor for stuff like having a Chrome tab up with game achievements or something and then another one for playing games on. I have a couple of questions:
1. Would my graphics card be able to support them both (I mostly play TF2 btw but I do sometimes (Quite rarely) play games like AC:Syndicate)?
2. Is that monitor good? It looks good, but I just want to double check.

I have that monitor and absolutely love it. 

To be honest, I'm actually on my second one as my first one died within a week. I believe this was due to heat as it was kept in a conservatory in the summer, so that was that. :')

It's also a reliable monitor, given that you're not an idiot and leave it out in the sun.

I upgraded to this monitor at the same time as buying a GTX 970 and that handled it great. Anything more intensive than FXAA wasn't an option, and I had to turn down a setting here and there, but the higher resolution just made it look awesome. 

Out of curiosity, how much did you pay for your GTX 980? If possible, I'd return it and look at picking up an R9 Fury as it's a similar price. http://www.amazon.co.uk/gp/product/B011LRKSNY?keywords=r9%20fury&qid=1450118336&ref_=sr_1_1&sr=8-1

£374.98 for the EVGA ACX 2.0 version, and I also used £20 of Amazon codes. I'm about £50 already in debt so no chance of a Fury

Ah, fair enough. It should be able to handle 1440p just fine, given that you're realistic about your expectations. Don't expect it to run every game maxed out.
