Are you sure you need an 800w unit? AFAIK the most power-hungry dual-slot card is the GTX690, which has a rated TDP of 300w. Unless you are running a watercooled 7990 or something, I doubt you'll need 800w.

I'm mainly saying this as higher-wattage units tend to be pretty large, so finding a decent 800w+ unit will be difficult, especially if you want a modular one (which I would recommend with a case like that). With that in mind, i wouldn't recommend going overkill with the wattage.

i have a corsair gs600 in my prodigy and that plenty for most systems i have i5 3570k oc 4.3ghz, h80, hd6870 gpu, 2 hard drives and a ssd all powered fine

My PC specs are CPU: 6700k @4.7Ghz Ram: 16GB Corsair RGB Pro GPU: RTX 2070  PSU: RM650 CPU cooler: corsair H150 Case: corsair Motherboard: ASUS Z270 Pro SSD: 1tb Samsung 970 EVOand SK Hynix 1TB

Cool, thanks for the input. Gone over my planned specs and a 600W PSU would cover it easily. I'd prefer modular just for the sake of space in the prodigy. I plan on watercooling the CPU & GPU after i save up a bit more money. Any specific PSU recommendations? Spending around $120 (£80)

I use a Corsair CX600... Fits perfectly ;)
