Planned build january 2014

Hi guys!

 

Some of you have probably seen that i have been planning a lot of builds lately. But i think i have come up with a pretty darn good build here:

 

CPU: 4670K

 

GPU: Gigabyte GeForce GTX 780 Windforce

 

MOBO: Gigabyte G1.Sniper M5

 

CPU-cooler: H100i

 

RAM: 8GB Vengeance Pro silver (Wish there was a green one)

 

CASE: Corsair 350D

 

HDD: WD Desktop Black 1TB

 

SSD: Samsung 840 Series 120GB

 

PSU: Corsair AX760

 

 

Will be adding more RAM, HDD's and SSD's whenever i feel for it. Maybe another 780 when i have enough money. New PSU probably needed at that time, but hey, worry about the bridge when you cross it.

Tell me what i could improve, if i missed anything etc.

don't plan a build until you are only a few days away since prices change and new products come out

2014 is still a while away, I don't see much point in planning the build now, plus the 9000 series will be out by then, and if it lives up to the rumors, it should have some better options compared to nvidia.

Yes i know, but then again, this is only planned and plans can change

Also quite excited to see what AMD brings to the table with 9000 series, but to be honest i may be a little bit nvidia fanboy.

Please stop with misleading comments, those cards won't come out until June as allways and might be delayed for september. But it is also rumored that GTX TITAN will get a bigger brother this autumn. I am waiting for that because if AMD pricing doesn't cut down NVidia prices this would surely decrease the price of normal Titan and a 780. It's not confirmed tough.

This, might be true but it will be just a pre-Maxwell on 28nm. True 20nm cards won't enter mass fabrication until June. This is getting pretty tangled, NVidia is supposed to release a 790/Titan X2/Titan Ultra and new low-mid end GPUs around October-November so I wonder what will they prepare for us in those 4 months after that. First of all it would be nice if the highest single core model had 8GB 512bit VRAM for maxing out even on 4K. Secondly there could be a 785 with 4GB 512bit and some more CUDA cores. And the 90 series cards is a tradition by now so NVidia shouldn't forget to release it too, maybe they have run into some issues since the GK110 is an enormous chip.
