My budget is $500.

I will play on a ASUS 60hz 1080p monitor, might upgrade in the far future.

I will be playing games and making a video in Sony Vegas here and there.

I will be using Photoshop CC.

This is what I have now, to try to play Battlefield 3,4 and Hardline and ArmA 3 on low settings.

What do you guys think about that for what I have above?

You can always edit it, and send it back. But make sure to keep it under $500 US please.

That superpower = dead system 1-3 months after power on.

Changed it to something better but 500$ is not much to spend on a full system.

how long do you think it will last? I'm not going to do anything HUGE on it like AutoCAD rendering and such.

I am really not sure how long it will hold, it will hold longer because you will not do any over clocking.

I also don't know how you will treat your PC! It's mostly the hard drive that fails. I would say maybe you could squeeze out 3 years out of it if you are lucky before you go "nope this is very slow in games etc, it really depends hey, if you will use it to play games, it will age faster of course , newer games come, harder to run, etc you might want to upgrade it, there will be more expenses.

But it's a good entry level build! :) Some tips for the future about the system, get 8GB of ram, a Cooler Master 212 Evo and maybe a SSD to extend your work/stability longer.

EDIT: I see that your case and the 212 Evo may not be compatible, I also would recommend another case if you are planning to upgrade or if you will just buy a new computer when you can. I will update the part list with what I see as "best" but it 50-75 bucks more, though you don't have to buy all at ones, the cooler etc,
