Recoverying OS

PhoKing

Hi guys, I'd like to ask something. A while ago my brother bought a Windows 8.1, and it's installed on a old computer.

I want to remove the OS from that hard drive and place it onto a new HDD. Is there any way to do it if I lost the windows box that housed the Serial key for it?

Or is there any way to recovery the key?

just use magic jellly bean to get the key

You can find the key by looking in the control panel. And if you transplant the OS HDD/SSD, you should be fine, you may need to re-input the key again when you load it on another mobo.

I'm hoping to remove the OS from the old HDD and place it into a new HDD

So i'm going to assume i will need to find the box or something.

Alright thanks, I'll see what I can do, though I'm presuming that if I run that program, it's required to do it on the same mobo not the new one eh? T T
