I recently installed a new GPU (R7 370) and GTA V keeps crashing at about 1 hr in. My GPU used to only spin at 20% for the fans but I have it manually set to 60% all the time and I cannot diagnose the problem. I ran FurMark for 2 hours and no crash, so I have no clue what is up.

Note:

I have reinstalled all drivers and my current version is 15.11.

Have you overclocked your GPU? If so try it without.

Is it the gpu crashing or the whole pc. maybe its the psu not having enough voltage. the cx series isn't the best psu ever and since this started when you put a new gpu in thats all i can think of

I don't think it is, but the ASUS GPUTweak II is confusing as all hell but I am 75% 100% sure it is not overclocked.

I don't think it is, the overall est. watt usage for my system is like 350 maybe 425 with the GPU under heavy load.

If I need to buy a new PSU I hope I can swap it out and just pay a little extra and not buy a one for full price.

Will do, but accidently clicked on GTA V Launcher while trying to do so. Will post it when the game/GPU/PSU/IDFK crashes again so I will play it right now until that happens.

I'd say turn settings down to low and continue to try tweaking different graphics card settings and GTA V settings.  Also, try Afterburner for things like overclocking... A lot more simple

possibly running out of memory?

At first I thought it was the Tesselation and Ambient Occlusion (Other people experiencing the same issue) but those are turned off.

Does CPUID get the memory usage of a GPU? If so I can monitor that, but if it crashes I loose all of the data because I don't know of a dump file for CPUID.

Yes it does Gamer. Ran GTA V Benchmark tests and got 1050MHz for Graphics and 1400MHz for Memory.

I don't really play GTA That much... If there is motion blur you can try turning that off to help a lot...  Before I got my kick ass graphics card, I had to turn that off on CSGO

It's off, I personally hate motion blur TBH
