Silver Arrow Sb-E Extreme COMPATIBLE problem! Need help please

Hello, guys. I just wonder if the Thermalright Silver Arrow Sb-e Extreme is going to left any space for the MSI lightning 770 to fit in the top pcie 3 slot. I'm using the GA z87x ud3h. I know that other gpu will fit but the lightning 770 has some kind of pump on the back + the back plate as well, so it's wider than regular card. Btw, would you please help me rate this build? I'm going to buy all the parts during the next couple months. Just correct me if I made any mistakes because this is my first build.

i5 4670k Haswell

Asrock z87x Extreme 6

MSI gtx 770 lightning (I'm planing to SLI it)

Thermalright Sb-e Extreme (Is this compatible with that gpu and mobo?)

Corsair hx 850w

Samsung 840 series 256gb

Wb Black 2TB

G.skill Ares 16gb

And Cm Stryker

It's a gaming build along with general computing stuff (movies, browsing,...). I'm also planing to run a dual monitor setting.

Thanks very much for helping me. Sorry for my bad English:D.

Can I just put the gpu on the second pcie 3 slot. Will it run at x16 speed?

Can you? Yes.

Will it run at that speed? I'm not sure but it wouldn't matter anyways the most performance you'll lose will probably be ~2 FPS.

Thanks a lot for helping me. I have one more question. If I do SLI, is there any difference in performance if I put 2 graphic cards in the last 2 pcie3 slots instead of the first 2?

you will see performence difference, because afaik the top 2 slots run at 16x each and the bottom at 8x each. Linus done a video about 8x/16x SLI iin the past.

Take a look:

Why? It should fit nicely into the build. Just do some research and look how much space there is from the CPU soket to the first PCI slot, then look if half of the SIlverarrow's widht is smaller then that, if so it will be fine

EDIT: look at this picture mounting this way will make compatibility 100% sure, if you dont got ultra high ram... (its some G.Skill Ripjawz in the pic, which got a normal high heatsink)

Klick (it's too large)
