Don't use fraps to record, and if it's only Minecraft your playing get a G3258.

Ummm.... what should I use to record then? Also, the G3258 has only 2 Cores while this has four cores. And, yes i do know that Intel's CPUs have better cores but a core is a core.

Minecraft only uses one core. It's a very poorly designed game. It performs better on a $70 G3258 then on a $1000 5960X.

Editing is going to suck, but recording does just fine. You can get 60-80 FPS with the render distance maxed out while recording.

If you ask me, you should squeze for a GTX 960 or at least a 950. But that's just me.

I've played Minecraft on a 8 core CPU. The frame rates were worse than on my PC with a dual core.
