Looking for a display.

I've been on the hunt for a monitor that is good for gaming, video editing and general use. I'm also a live streamer and I'd like to get a 1440p 27" 1ms or close to it monitor. I have a Nvidia GTX 960. I was going to originally get this monitor. http://www.amazon.com/Acer-XG270HU-omidpx-FREESYNC-Widescreen/dp/B00VRCLHYS After reading some reviews however, people said they either had issues with the PSU over heating and they could feel the heat from 2 feet away, or had issues with the 144Hz refresh and a bunch of other issues. So it turned me off to getting this monitor. Now I've come back here to ask for help on the best monitor for my needs. Price range from $300 to $500.

What monitors are you running now?  I would get a GTX 980 or R9 fury for that price.

I have two Dell 1907FP monitors, their res is 1280x1024. I kinda hate them now and I want a res that isn't so weird. Hence why I want to get 1440p as mentioned above.
