PC not starting up

Nerion

I just finished building my first pc and it is not turning on at all. I tried different combinations on the panel connectors and nothing happens. the top 8pin connector are 2 4 pin connectors. The usb, 24 pin are connected, so as the satas, gpu cables, ssd plugged in, all fans connected.

At first, only the power button led would lit up, everything else wouldnt work.

This is my setup: http://pcpartpicker.com/p/HCp7Vn

Please help me :)

These are some pics:

Might sound silly, but did you flip the switch on the back of the PSU?

I did the same when I first built my rig, very easy to do.

no, first only the startup button led would lit up. Then I switched the panel connectors in different order. When I tried turning it on, the geforce logo on my 970 lit up for like a millisecond then shut off. I then switched the connectors again and heard the system turn on for like a millisecond aswell. The problem is the way im putting the pannel connectors onto the MB, i think thats what it is.

could be, but you may have a dead PSU on your hands, Or the ram could be an issue.

If possible try with another PSU.

If still nothing, try testing the rig with only one stick of RAM installed, testing consecutively

unplug everything to the machine, including the power cable. Then, hold down the power button for 30 seconds. Apparently, this drains all power that is stored and rests something.Try turning it on.

It works for me,maybe it works on yours.

but why would the led light lit up when it was connected? I think it might be the motherboard or something that not connected right. who know ill take it to a shop and ask them to fix it.

You have the power LED leads backwards on the MB, swap them around.  Pin 2 is positive pin 4 is negative.

I can't tell if the ones on the bottom row are in the right position, so unplug everything on the bottom row and leave it unplugged for now.  See if it works after that.

If not flip the connector for the power switch over reversing the connection and try again.

Can you by any chance send me a pic of what the front pannel connector go like? I'd appreciate it.
