Ultrawide 21:9 Help

So I'm in the market for a bigger display. Since people pointed out that G-Sync is overrated, I don't need to convince myself to justify the additional cost. 

Now I'm on the hunt for whatever monitor that fits my criteria. 

 

34" 3440x1440

 

60hz

Samsung

LG

 

75hz

Acer XR341CK - I know its A-sync but if I can get it cheaper, do you think the extra cost is worth +15Hz than regular 60Hz... and also, do you think a single 980Ti can get 75fps (High/Ultra?)

 

76hz+++??

Do you think it's best to buy now from the monitors listed above or wait for new ones with higher refresh rates just around the corner?

Display is gonna be between 2k and 4k, do you think a single 980Ti can crank up to max 75fps?

My Titan X gets 80+ at 1440p with Fallout 4 maxed out. You'll need to overclock a good amount. 3440x1440 is 30% more demanding than 1440p. So, your 980 Ti should get ~56 FPS with FO4 at max. Most other games I get >100 FPS so that should be good for you (BF4, FC4, etc.)

Lol. I've seen a couple saying they live close. It's funny, I just met one of the users here today. Sold em some DDR3 ram and gave a bunch of freebies.

Haha, that's great. Also, how's the 29UM67-P? I just got one really quick while it was on sale. I haven't opened it yet, I don't know what it's like (no YT reviews.)

It's okay. I only bought it as an introduction to ultrawide gaming, now I'm ready to pickup a bigger version. I don't think I'll jump to 4k displays yet or even VR. Gonna have to wait awhile for the tech to mature and maybe go cheaper. Did you get yours from Best Buy, they had it on sale for $199. I'm personally selling this over craigslist lol.

It got sold out quick. I didn't get it from Best Buy, I've had the display since January.
