My camcorder needs help

Hi, I have a sony hdr-cx405. It's a camcorder but I'm experiencing some strange difficulties, for some reason everytime I change settings mannually then they jump back to automatic
Anybody knows how I can enable it to manualy set iris and shutterspeed and lighting at the same time without them jumping back to automaticly?

there's nothing in the manual about it. if there was I should know because I've read the damn manual multiply times

Then I guess it can't be done.  I don't see a built in light on the camera so I doubt you can control the lighting.  Most camcorders at this consumer level of products use a shutter speed that matches the recording frame rate or double the recording frame rate.  The camera doesn't look like it comes with any sort of scroll wheel or knob for manually adjusting the iris during filming.

But according to this online manual, you do have a manual settings screen in the menu.  You have to set them before you start recording and I doubt you can change it during filming.

yeah the settings have to be changed on the screen. I can change those settings while filming aswell, but the problem stay's the same. when changing a setting the other setting goes back to auto :/

Then I guess the camera doesn't have FULL MANUAL option, if you choose one setting priority, the rest are automatic to compensate so you get an optimal exposure.

Manufacturers tend not to put full manual options into this level of cameras or else they will have a ton of "stupid" users complaining that the camera sucks and ruined their lives. People who buy cameras for this budget are not "pros" that know how to do things.
