Internet resitriction on certain programs

Go to solution Solved by tbroadwater2010,

Hello :)

I had McAfee and uninstalled it, rebooted, and then I had internet on Steam and Skype, but not chrome, IE, Firefox, etc(not even the Steam store) My friend suggested I disable firewall which I dId, I was then able to access the internet, and then I updated windows defender since that was out of date, but now I don't know if I should enable firewall again or not? Will it knock my internet off again? Should I put firewall back on AND reinstall McAfee?

Thanks  :D

Pro tip #1 NEVER USE MCAFEE.

Im surprised that uninstalling McAfee caused these issues. It sounds like a firewall issue in general. You can try turning it back on and if its messed up turning it back off. I DO NOT recommend keeping your firewall off.

Thanks, put it back on and no problems, just a little slow. I'll just reset my router and it should be alright, thanks again:) And yeah, I told my mum not to get McAfee but she came home and threw it at me like "PUT IT ON" gg

In instances like that you throw it back at her and say "THIS IS SHIT MOM. NO!"  LOL
