corsair VS psu

dinooxxx

im looking to buy parts for a new computer and  saw a corsair VS550 psu in sale for 48 dollars . probably the watts are enough for a pentium g3258 and gtx 750 ti.

i want to know if is worth buying this one or if i should go with something else.

nope - neither the VS, nor the Pentium are worth it. Both equally crappy

The VS Series from Corsair is renowned for their coil whine and noisy fans. proceeded with caution.

since it looks like you are on a budget-ish i5 4460 but being intel it is going to be more money but the performance is great for pretty much any game you throw at it

i cant overclock that cpu. should i wait to get a better cpu like the 4690k or go with amd one in the price range of the 4460? idk but overclocking cpus look like a better deal to me...

i feel like in a short amout of time i gonna have to upgrade it and if the cpu is ovecloclable it will last longer.

idk if im right but i appreciate ur help :)!

btw im looking to upgrade recently to a r9 390

If your getting a 390, then a i5 would definitely be worth it. If you have the money for a K series + Z97 mobo +cooler then go for it. Otherwise, the 4460 will work fine.
