Lowest bottleneck gpu upgrade

That13thGuy

I want to have a better gpu, something with atleast 2gb of vram. My system isnt half bad (I hope), but pls do not say anything about the psu; I know it isn't ment for a gaming pc. It's hard to do research online on bottlenecking and maby you guys can help me find a good gpu. To summarize: What is the best gpu I can put into my system that won't be bottlenecked too much by my cpu and will mostly get the best out of what I have right now?

system specs:

cpu: i3-2130 (3.4GHz dual core w/ hyperthreading)

ram: Crucial balistix 8GB

gpu: XFX r7 260x 1GB (This is the thing I want to change ofc)

psu: cx430w

1TB HHD

Thanks in advance,

That13thGuy

R7 260X is the max for that dreadful i3 - Sandy i3s were utter crap.

No, the GPU is not the thing you want to upgrade of course.

Th 260x isn't that bad, but that i3 IS.  I personally reccomend not spending money in PC Hardware now, so you can choose Pascal/Artic Islands in the future and jump to DDR4.

Pascal/Artic Islands are the upcoming new microarchitectures of nVidia and AMD. In the AMD case, Artic Islands is a codename. They will be much more efficient, cooler and, well, newer. I wouldn't spend money in past "generation" components.

Oh, and you will most probably need a better PSU.

Yes, they are supposed to come out in 2016, and we don't really know anything about the prices, but do not expect them to be that much expensive. There will be different range models so you can buy a lower-end card if you can't afford the mid-end one
