Help With Samsung Software and Root

Go to solution Solved by Chrysolite,

First question: You can't flash md5s or tars with TWRP. ODIN is the only way to do this (FlashFire app also does this, but won't work in the case you are presenting, because of data wipe).

Second question: If you go back to stock, you will lose root, but not your recovery UNLESS returning to stock also means flashing the stock bootloader. In that case, kiss your TWRP goodbye.

Third question: Since switching firmware requires all data to be wiped for compatibility purposes, yes. You should backup beforehand if you want to save photos, videos, etc.

I hope this helps!

Hello to the one who reads this.

So I'm pretty familliar with installing custom ROM's for android devices but I have one burning question I need awnsered.

So this is what I'm stuck with:

I have a rooted note 4 N910C

and I would like to return to the stock samsung firmware and the only way that I know of is to flash a zip via ODIN wich I get from sammobile.com

-> Is it also possible to flash this zip (md5) via TWRP ( custom ) Recovery

-> Do I lose my root and/or custom recovery

-> Will this wipe my contacts music photos and other (media) data

I'm not a native english speaker so bear with me but thanks for any further help!

Regards,

Snieky
