I've got a problem.
I have a WD elements 500GB external usb 2.0 hard drive.
The drive it self spin up like it should when it's plugged in and it also shows up but the partition is not mountable by Linux, Mac or Windows.

So I assumed the file system ist some how corrupted.
I tried my luck with Gparted, Spinrite, Data Rescue 3 but was not successful.

Disassembling the drive enclosure revealed, that the drive it self does not have a sata connector and I could only rule out the interface by buying an other used WD Elements enclosure and placing the drive in there.

I'm running out of ideas.

Thanks for the help.
