I am running the latest version of Windows 10 Professional, and I use remote desktop on my surface RT (don't kill me for still having that tablet please) remote desktop works seamlessly and without a problem. Although when I log off on my tablet properly and go to sign in on my computer the screen will stay completely black with the mouse in the center right after I sign in. I have tried waiting for a long period of time, and I end up having to force restart my computer, and its getting really frustrating. Is there any way to fix this?

and also, is there a way to use remote desktop from a network that isn't the same one my computer is on? I cant seem to get it to work on any other network except the one my computer is on.

Make sure you terminate the connection within the application, not just shutting off the tablet.

That's what im doing, on the remote connection I click sign off and then the window closes, and this used to work properly when I was on windows 8
