This idea goes back to a situation I dealt with a couple years ago. I wanted to be able to create a mobile broadcasting rig, mainly for the use of filming card game tournaments and possible sports. The first option for streaming usually comes up as a Tricaster, but unfortunately Tricaster Rigs start out at $5k. This rig was meant to be a budget alternative to a Tricaster.

The current computer:

i7-4790

GIGABYTE GA-H97M-D3H MATX

1x 8 GB Samsung DDR3-1600 RAM

Samsung 850 120 GB SSD

WD Blue 1TB HDD

Zotac Low Profile Nvidia GTX 750

Wifi Pci-e Card

1 2 Port USB Pci-e Card

2U Chassis

Peripherals Attached:

Logitech c920

Microsoft Lifecam Studio

Microsoft Lifecam Cinema

Behringer Xenyx Q1204USB (ran through line in)

2 Dell 2401 Monitors (1 VGA, 1 DVI)

1 LG 24 inch TV (HDMI over 100 ft Cat5e)

1. Budget & Location
The budget is fairly minimal for what I want to do, but it does come with a range. For the computer itself, I would like to stay within a $1000 USD range. I live in the midwest, about 10 minutes from a Microcenter and about as far from a couple music stores such as Sam Ash and Guitar Center.

2. Aim
The system is going to be used for video capture and streaming through XSplit onto twitch. The computer itself will be mounted in a 8U audio rack case, 7U are usable. The current system is mounted in a 2U chassis, but I'll consider going to 4U Chassis if the parts call for it.

3. Monitors

The system needs three monitors, but not a typical setup. It will be a dual monitor setup with a third monitor wired to an adjacent room via HDMI over Cat5e, The idea being that this serves as a commentator's monitor for viewing action in real time. I currently own 2 Dell 24 inch monitors and use a 24" LG TV for my commentator monitor.

4. Peripherals
All peripherals as far as mice, keyboards and monitors are already purchased. Right now I am using 3 webcams (One Logitech C920, One Microsoft Lifecam Cinema, One Microsoft Lifecam Studio) but if I can find a reasonable alternative I'd like to upgrade those. Audio is run through a Behringer Xenyx Q1204USB.

5. Why are you upgrading?
The main reason is to make sure my stream continues to put out high enough quality where viewers on Twitch still want to come back.

I don't know if I'm better upgrading my computer to a x99 chipset and shelling out the money to go to a 5820k, or if I should just upgrade parts within this system and spend my money elsewhere on parts like a Blackmagic ATEM Studio.
