How often do you have to change thermal compound?

Hi guys! I have an I7 930 D0 CPU OCed to 4.01mhz. i have the CPU for 5 years and the OC is about a year old :) In addition im gonna add my GPU for that matter- HD 5850 VAPOR-X also 5 years. I have never changed my thermal compound for 5 years :)

 

Heres temps at Idle and Load: (Dota 2 was played at load)

Shouldn't really need to change the thermal paste unless you take off the cooler at any point

You're unlikely to see much of a change. If it were at 80-90°C under load or 60°C at idle then you'll probably notice a difference, although that could also easily be attributed to re-securing mounting bolts that became loose over time.

probably an option. i didnt disassemble it for 5 years so il try then. But how much tight is it suppose to be?
