I'd appreciate your feedback/thoughts about a build I'm planning for a friend.

 

budget(exclude: OS, peripherals and monitor): 8000 Swedish Krona

primary use: gaming at 1920 x 1080 60Hz

location: Sweden 


 
CPU: Intel Core i5-4460 3.2GHz Quad-Core Processor  ($173.99 @ SuperBiiz) 
Storage: Samsung 850 EVO-Series 250GB 2.5" Solid State Drive  ($84.89 @ OutletPC) 
Video Card: Sapphire Radeon R9 380 4GB Nitro Video Card  ($198.98 @ Newegg) 
Case: NZXT S340 (Black) ATX Mid Tower Case  ($59.99 @ Micro Center) 
Total: 8053 Krona when purchased in Sweden

Use PCpartpicker next time please :)

 

I used the TX3 evo, and it really isn't that good. Around 43c idle on FX-6300, as for the rest, it looks good!

Seems good - a 4G 380 would be better but the rest is fine.

Seems good - a 4G 380 would be better but the rest is fine.

 

I could go for the i5 4460(non k) and use the difference in money to upgrade the GPU to a R9 380 4G version.

Would you recommend doing that? I keep thinking, how much ACTUAL benefit will he have from an overclockable(if I manage to convince him to overclock) cpu for gaming....

Those seem like some crazy temperatures while being idle, though I'm not familiar with amd cpu's.

4460 + 4G 380 would be better balanced and likely last longer.

FX actually have lower temps thanks to the much larger die size and use of solder rather than TiM.
