AMD and dota2 cursor bug?

Was playing dota 2 on one of my rigs, with a E6300 duo core and sapphire 6850. Halfway through playing, my mouse got distorted in a way http://www.playdota.com/forums/showthread.php?t=946892 something like this. I searched on the internet and realised that some other people have that same bug as well and all are using AMD GPUs. However, on that rig, i am pretty much CPU bottlenecked, getting only 30-40fps with cpu load at almost 100%. when i switched the card over to another system with a 2600k, i was able to get a constant 60fps and so far, after a few days, i have not got the bug at all.

Very confused if it is actually AMD GPUs that are causing this bug or if it is actually a cpu issue.. Most people online say they only experience it with AMD but seems like it had been fixed when i removed the bottleneck. Any thoughts?

Well I have a 7970 and play a lot of Dota 2 and I have never noticed this issue. I'm afraid that it might have something to do with your CPU.

I guess i will have to stick to my 2600k as it seems like it has no such issue. Probably about time to try selling off my old E6300 anyway..

what cpu are you using? thinking of making a budget build for my friend and he wants to max out dota 2 and have a constant 60 fps.. any suggestions?

I have a quad core q6600, but i suggest an amd fx 6300 it's more than enough for today's games
