Hey, I am a first time builder, and I was wondering if I could get any suggestions or tips on my build. My main concerns are these:

1. My motherboard - Is it good? I am planning on overclocking some time in the future, and is the Bios menu something that I should take into consideration on it?

2. My case fans. I am going for the red theme, so I thought these would be cool, but do they provide sufficient air flow?

3. RAM. I have no knowledge of RAM whatsoever, so please inform me on what is good, and what isn't.

4. SSD. Is 250 GBs going to be too much? I am trying to stick close to 1200 dollars USD. I am going to install Windows 10 on it, and CS:GO, and probably GTA V.

5. PSU. Not much knowledge on this either. I'd love any suggestions on this!

Building a computer is a really fun project, and you definitely can have some high satisfaction when it's completed.

However, we can't really help you out if we don't know what parts you are talking about. Are there supposed to be hyperlinks in your post? What model motherboard are you looking at? That can restrict the CPU and RAM options (if you don't already have your CPU picked out).

Accidentally forgot to put it in first! Sorry 'bout that, it's there now.

To answer your questions however,

1.) This motherboard is ok, nothing special about it, but it'll get the job done.
2.) You don't particularly need to buy fans for most cases the airflow is decent enough. However the case is completely your preference. Just make sure it all fits with the case. Buy additional fans if you wish.
3.) RAM you don't really need to worry about it, just have 8gb or 16gb. As far as gaming goes you don't really need to pay much attention to the RAM.
4.) 250gb is a great amount in my opinion. Let's you put your OS on it and a few games. You can add a 2nd hard drive if you want for storage, I personally don't store anything on my computer.
5.) Typically just make sure it's 80+ Bronze cert. Never get anything less in my opinion. I never get less than 80+ Gold cert.

  1. cpu cooling solution is overkill for this type of cpu
  2. mobo is great, although, you could get a cheaper one and be fine for overclocking
  3. 8gb is all you need for ram for gaming
  4. ssd is great
  5. hdd is great
  6. gpu is great
  7. case is great. expensive, but good
  8. psu is great, although you could get away with a bronze one and save some dough
  9. you don't need extra fans for this build
  10. overall, not bad, but i'd change a few things
