Xbox audio for USB headset

I'm having an issue validating the process of using a USB headset on a Xbox 360. I'm using the headset because the monitor I'm using does not have any speakers. I was told to use a adapter for the Xbox (As shown here http://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B000067RBT/ref=oh_details_o00_s00_i00?ie=UTF8&psc=1 ) into a RCA to 3.5mm Y cable (As shown here http://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B000067RBT/ref=oh_details_o00_s00_i00?ie=UTF8&psc=1 ). Then to switch the audio out from my computer to my headset. Can I get a confirm for this.
