so i finaly finished my last build and im building a second since these will be it for 5+ yrs and im trying to make this one better.  as like i said its gonna be my last for 5+ yrs and i wanna go as all out as i can. im budgeting about 2k -2500k  maybe more or less by december depending on how work goes and i can put asside with out the warden lol finding out (after that work slows down for winter and i need to get ready for a possible back to college. and i cant bring myself to build an staples oem grade pc)since some of the parts arnt out yet or havent arived at the store yet i have to wait to build

so heres my plans for for a better rig than last the new wondering what you guys think,  i dont wanna change part manufacurers where possible as i have used thes manufacturers since day one(except samsug this is a first since they have great reviews) and there the ones i trust on all my builds everything is comming from microcenter as i refuse mail order and the local pc stores suck @ss any more

maximus  vi formula(final decision)

4770k(final decision)

samsung 240g ssd

2tb segate 7200rpm drive

crucial balistix 16gb ram

corsiar cx 750wat psu

sound blaster z(Only sound card compnay i will use never had a bad experiance with it)

cosmos ii ultra tower(love the one i got want another they great waranty support no headaches or problems with support) already bought in the attic out of harms way

asus bluray

and im going to probably go with the 9000 series amd chipset for graphics if not a 7970.

windows 7(no way in hell am i going win 8

my estimated total with taxes and and asus  7870 graphics and maximus vi extreme board came to 1985.03 us $ (with out rebates bout 50-100 less with)

im planning to add $500 to the budget for the higer graphics card price and im going to get 2x tb red drives( some one gave me an old rack mount server and some amd based phone line server that im gonna use as weekely backups for the computers once i figure aout how.

last build im out building is

maximus v formula with 3770k

crucial balistix 16gb

standard lg dvd burner

windows 7

intel 240 ssd

1tb segate

old 500gb western digital for linux drive

corsiar gs 800 power suply

soundblaster z

2x 24 inch aoc lcd screens

1x red and 1x blue cold cathodes

and thanks to microcenter not having 90% of the parts i needed a ek waterblocks l360 water cooling kit i replaced tubing with red primochill tubiing and used monsoon compression fittings(they look real nice but a bitch to take apart and a apogee hd black water block

there is no need to upgrade your cpu and mobo you wont even notice the difference and if you do it will be a tiny amount also why are you upgrading anything really other than gpu and hardrives

I wish everyone showed their parts using pcpartpicker.

Is the first one the one you just made and the second one is the one you plan on building?

Don't for the love of god get the Extreme, get the Hero or something. I suggest Corsair ram instead maybe get a modular power supply.

im not getting the extreme im getting the formula i dont know what microcenter will sell it foryet. i  just put the extreme as a price place holder.  i am very happy with my maximus ii formula and my maximus v formula rog boards. im going to water cool this one too this summer( im putting more effort in the next design since my first time basic custom loop other than apearance workedso well and when its time to drain the firt one im gonna re do the loop) so the cross chill in the maximus will be used juat like in the maximus v formula
