Reports... Of fire... No.

Has a low ambient temperature and uses bad capacitor. Not made for high end machines and big loads. For this machine, the exact parts he chose it would be fine. For what he can really get for his budget, no not worth it.

there are simply better PSUs for the price....

This is what I would go for.

Just put a Corsair SPEC 02 ( very similar to 03 ) and thats about it.

im dont like saying this to people but man you are incorrect in the gpu department. the 750 ti makes sense in your pc because the cpu wont be bottleneck by it, while the i5 can power 980 ti without bottleneck the gpu

You are passing around information to try and get your point across that is false. Yes, there are better ones, yes they are not good. Just, do not use information without knowing for a fact. A Antec High Current Gamer. Or Any XFX or SeaSonic would be very good. EVGA B2's can also be found for as low as $45.

i have found good Z97 boards (like the one im using) cheaper than decent H97 boards, which is odd.

ok, it is simple:

would you buy a PSU that has been known to catch on fire? situation doesnt matter, its a risk that most people dont want to take

What... My CPU does bottleneck it. Also how does the post you quoted have anything to do with the 750TI? I got the 750Ti simply because it was the highest end card I could aquire that did not need a new PSU since my current one, soon to be a 850w EVGA GS is simply not good and does not have PCIe connectors.

in my country the

GTX 750 Ti costs 259 SGD

R9 380 402 SGD

thats a lot of money tho. is it worth?

how much does the SSD cost? you can always not get it and when you have some cash buy the SSD.

irrelevant of GPU conversation here, at this budget, it is easier to add a SSD after when it can be afforded

Yes, PSUs are like the lottery. Some people are luckier then others. Some people, use i7s and 290x's in CX PSUs but have had worse luck with other PSUs like a EVGA B2. PSUs are no better then the lottery, it is a matter of luck. Some are just better them others. It is not known to catch on fire, it is pure facts it has a low ambient temperature and uses bad capacitors which have taken peoples PCs down with it.

rougly around the 350-370 SGD Mark

Get a 280x or 285 to save some money :) Both perform good. A 380 is basically a beefed up 285

ok, stats:

the CX PSU catches on fire SIGNIFICANTLY more often than EVGA, Antec, XFX, etc.

yes, its a lottery, all PSUs have a chance of catching fire, but with CX the odds are stacked against you
