Hello!

Sorry if this topic was already posted, but little desperate here.

Problem: Power flickers on and off.....

 

Parts list:

Gigabyte GA-H97M-HD3

Crucial Ballistix 1600 8gb

Intel G3258

Crucial M4 64gb ssd

WD Black 640gb hdd

MSI R9 270

Ultra X4 PSU purchased 2010

 

just in case it is a psu prob I got a evga 500w psu...arriving in two days

just make sure everything is plugged in properly, i had a little issue where my psu would turn on and off, nut it turned out that

i didnt have the 8pin cpu power plugged all the way in. Plugging it in fixed my problem.

In addition to that, OP, the metal contacts can have slid out. So even if the plastic collar of the connector is seated fine, the contact might be poor. I'd check each individual wire on the 24-pin and 8-pin and the GPU. Sata doesn't do it but molex is notorious for it. 

 

In any case. Since it goes down without a warning it can only be caused by issues with power or heat. Too much or too little of either one of them.
