save game saves? - user/appdata missing?

So i was trying to get back to where i was on Mafia 2, and i can't find the location of saved games anywhere. i found this online: 

 

Win7&Vista: C:\Users\USERNAME\AppData\Local\2K Games\Mafia II\Saves\XXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXX (last value is different for each pc)

 

but when i go to my user, there is no AppData folder in there? so i searched it in the search bar, found it, then i go to local and the only folder there is "Microsoft" which just contains 1 folder after another till eventually there is an empty folder.. does anybody know how i can find my mafia 2 saved game folder? ive checked in steam and coudlnt find it, and ive checked in my saved games which is on my user and there is only saves for wolfenstein and miscreated
