Hello everyone,

Just wondering if there was a way to connect two monitors to one HDMI port and have them be separate screens.

I know that there are splitters that can duplicate one screen on two monitors, but is there anyway that i could get something else to connect and extend the monitors for a 3 monitor setup?

i was told about the Matox eXpansion Modules, but dont know if the integrated graphics would be able to handle it. (and its fairly eXpensive {Kappa} i might as well save up the $200 USD for a rig)

http://www.matrox.com/graphics/en/products/gxm/dh2go/digital_se/

I have a Dell Latitude E7440 that runs on Intel HD 4400 Graphics, and the Monitors in question are two Samsung SyncMaster 730Bs (my employer upgraded his monitors and let me have these).

I don't plan on using the SyncMasters for gaming, I will play games on the built-in monitor of the laptop.

Just wondering if there would be anyway to do so, and so i don't have a useless monitor waiting to be used.

Thanks for replying with your input if you did. <3

Unfortunately it is not possible, HDMI 1.4 does not support multiple video streams out of a single port.
