Hello all,

I have a issue with my internet. First off let me give you the back story. My parents pay for internet and the modem and router are based in living room. My tower does not have any wireless internet so currently I am using an extender to get an Ethernet connection. I am experiencing high packet loss though and major ping spikes using this extender. I am located less then 20 feet away from the router.

So my question is:

should I just buy one those usb wireless adapters or a pci wireless adapater? I'm at work and I couldn't tell you what the router is, but is capable of 5 ghz. Internet speed is also 50mbs down and 5mbs up. Sorry for the crappy sentence structure. Been tabbing in and out at work

Use wired as often as possible and you could wire it through your walls. If that's not an option just buy a tp link pcie WiFi adapter. Wired is not that big of an advantage over wireless.

I would wire it but my parents don't want wires running through the house
