Gigabyte GTX 970 Memory Type

So I have recently purchased a Gigybyte G1 Gtx970 and have noticed some issues.

 

First, for some reason my BIOS is marked as modified in the NVIDIA Inspector eventhough I did not flash anything. There is also this very annoying coil whine that is audible when I start playing games. The third issue worries me a bit more, I have found out that my mem type is manufactured by Elpida and I have read that is a bad manufacturer. As I wanto to be able to overclock in the future that bother me a bit. Also because I have Elpida memory I could not find any suitable VBios update for it as on the gigabyte website I only found updates for samsung and SKHYNIX mem.

 

So should I exchange this card? If I change, how can I make sure I don't get Elpida memory again and also is this memory really that bad for overclocking?

you probably have a normal gigabyte card not the g1. so those are bad. if you can you should probably get your money back an go for the g1
