Hey guys!

I am currently stuck on a problem, the problem is as follows:

Lori rented a booth at the craft fair for $200 to sell baskets she made. The cost of the materials for each basket was $8. If she sells the baskets for $20, how many does she have to sell to make a profit?

 My current inequality is 200 + 8m <= 20b

What do i have to do in order to find the profit? What do i change in my inequality?

20 and 8 should both have the same variable (number of baskets sold) because they both scale with the same thing.

profit per basket is ($20 - $8), the total profit is (# of baskets sold) x ($20 - $8). Total profit has to pay for the booth, so (baskets) x ($12) has to be > $200. Baskets must then be 17 or more in order to satisfy that.

Thank you for the explanation, doing the math now i see that you're correct.
