So i built a pc for a buddy of mine a while back. Last week his PC went down and when booted just goes to a black screen. I then told him just to put a fresh format on the hard drive and reinstall windows. But the same thing happened again. Just a black screen and maybe sometimes a cursor but that's about it. Kinda sounds like something with the hard drive has gone bad and that he will need a new hard drive but i just wanted to double check.

Let me know what you think!

Thanks
