How to enable freesync

I recently got an lg 34um67 mainly fort the 75hz and freesync as I have a fury x I was wondering the first time I enabled freesync in the monitors settings catalyst prompted me to check some box to enable it after which I had to reset all settings in catalyst due to other issues and now it doesent prompt be I dont know how to enable it games have screen tearing while fps is in freesync range 48-75 note I am running 15.8.1 beta drivers

Hey, make sure FreeSync is enabled in monitor's OSD, then enable it in Catalyst, and dont forget to enable V-sync.

Free sync, unlike G-sync, gives you the option to disable V-sync, which can cause tering even with free sync on.

Freesync is enabled in monitors settings from what I have seen under display property there should be a check box for freesync however there is none

are you using the DP 1,3?

No such thing as dp 1.3 and yes im useing the dp 1.2 plug if I was not I would not be able to enable freesync in the monitor settings

My bad. 1.2. The monitor might have multiple DP outputs, and only one being 1.2.

However, I am starting to think that you should contact LG support directly.

Issue fixed I plugged my monitor into a different dp on my gpu and now it works
