Hey guys, thinking of building my first HTPC.  Not really planning on doing any intensive gaming (maybe just some emulation).  Mainly just want to load up all my ripped DVDs onto the hard drive and be able to watch them and stream Netflix, Hulu, etc.

PC Part Picker List

Here's the basic rundown if you don't feel like following the link:

  • CPU: AMD A10-7700K
  • CPU Cooler: Noctua NH-L9a
  • Mobo: Gigabyte GA-F2A88XM-D3H
  • RAM: Crucial Ballistic Elite 16 GB DDR3-1866
  • Storage: Sandisk 120 SSD//WD Green 2 TB
  • Case: Silverstone ML03B
  • PSU: Corsair CX 430W

I might plan on adding a blu-ray drive at some point as well.  Any opinions on my parts list thus far?  Thanks!

Edit: fixed PC Part Picker Link
