Something eating first partition space

Go to solution Solved by noisebomb44,

I don't think they'll be needed, but JIC

CPU: Pentium G3220

RAM: 4 GB

GPU: iGPU

HDD: Some 120 GB Maxtor drive

OS: Windows 7 64 bit Ultimate (um... don't ask, costed 15 $ by then)

More than a year old

Basically there's something eating the first partition space to the point where there're 0 bytes free, where there'd be like ~15 GB free. No changes were made recently nor new programs were installed

Things I've tried/checked:

-Checked if the drive's OK in a different PC

-Disabling pagefile in 1st partition

-Disabling hibernation

-Updates are disabled (also checked if there's a W10 upgrade folder JIC)

-Deleting things, this is useless, deleted/moved like 10 GB of things (partition is 40 GB) and yet gradually the space was ocupied again.

-Tried uninstalling old programs (most of them manually, as with 0 bytes free won't let me uninstall as there's no space to create a temp pagefile...)

-Tried Windows Space Cleaner (or whatever it's called in English)(hey, who knows...)

-Checked processes and resource manager, apparently OK

-Checked if someone sneaked a 3rd party program

Also user files are in the second partition if by some weird reason you need to know it

And no, fresh install isn't an option.

Thanks for reading.

Maybe some windows temp files?
They took up like 5 GB of my SSD after not cleaning them in like a year

I think CCleaner does just that, try that instead of "windows space cleaner"

No pagefile and %temp% is almost empty, but I'll try

EDIT: @noisebomb44 Tried with CCleaner, some space was cleared... yet still being filled up (very fast)

Ok, i know what to do

Download a folder size viewer, there are many out there although i prefer "GetFolderSize" since its small, and its clean

Then just do a disk scan, and find what folder that is taking up all of the space

windows has been preloading windows 10 onto computers as an update it could have been added weeks ago.

Although preloading 10 Gigs + seems kind of extreme

This ended up being the solution... CSC folder was created, this is for offline sync, by some reason network settings were reset and then offline files were reenabled, copying all files from the NAS...
