Corsair M90 Scrolling problem

I have an M90 and it has an issue with scrolling, whenever I scroll it will sporadically scroll in the opposite direction. I don't remember how long it's had this issue (I've been just clicking the scoll wheel instead for some time now) and I'm pretty sure I don't have warranty anymore. I have the newest firmware, I've tried using different USB ports, I've tried blowing it out with compressed air, I've changed the amount of lines each scroll moves but nothing seems to work. Does anyone know how to fix this? Should I open it up and try cleaning it out or checking if something is out of place? Or is this a hardware issue that I can't fix?
