Network stops when switching display?

Strangest thing I've ever seen happen today...

When switching from my PC monitor (DVI) over to my TV (HDMI) my WiFi suddenly drops and will not connect to my home router. Yet will connect to my phone over Internet Sharing with no problems.

WHAT THE ACTUAL SHIT

Never happened before until today.

I switch back to monitor, internet works.

Switch to TV, internet breaks.

 

I've just tried extending display across the 2 and this works fine...

 

Also, cloning the displays works fine...

 

It's ONLY when I show only on TV that it suddenly stops.

 

Why don't I just clone always?

Firstly, I switch instead of clone because my TV native resolution is 720p (it does support 1080p, but text is unreadable).

Secondly, when playing GTA 5 I've noticed a glitch when using a cloned display where the phone display is super stretched and messed up, can't read it.

 

Has any body ever heard of this happening? And can it be fixed?

OK.

So after constantly changing screens back and forth and playing with resolutions. It now seems to be working fine again?

I'll report back if it does it again...

 

Things to note:

Windows 10

Was using windows settings to switch displays, never tried using NVidia control panel to see if that made a difference.

Network would drop in, come back, INSTANTLY and without ANY hesitation what-so-ever when switching between the displays.
