High bandwidth over long range

rufee

So guys im in need of your assistance.

I need a way to get a 2km of range and as much bandwidth as possible, the catch is that its a UAV that is going to be broadcasting a video signal so space is an issue.

I am perfectly fine with a one way signal (UAV -> station), i can also track the UAV with the receiver antenna. So i was thinking of experimenting with those cheap antennas on ebay, but what could i use for the UAV in terms of transmission ? Or maybe there is some other way to do this ?

Something wrong with your connection ?

Run the damn cable :)

Short of satellite based internet, there isn't really a solution for that range.

well there s directional wifi antennas but you would need line of sight and a way to follow the uav with antennas on both sides.

what about strapping your phone on the uav sharong his 3g/4g?

Anything I write is just a comment, take is as such, there is no guarantees associated with anything I say.
