Video Card Compatibility

Go to solution Solved by Samdb,

There won't really be any performance decrease, maybe 1% maximum.

Hey guys first time building an AMD system and I was wondering if since this motherboard ( http://pcpartpicker.com/part/gigabyte-motherboard-ga990fxaud3 ) has only 2.0 expansion slots would that bottleneck a GTX 760 that runs on a 3.0 slot. I haven't come across this before as I usually build Intel systems and get 3.0 motherboards.

Thanks.

As far as I know PCI 2.0 vs 3.0 does not affect performance at all. There might be some very minor differences in CF/SLI configuration but even then it would be minimal.
