Hello

I bought the 980ti yesterday. It is the MSI 980ti Gaming 6G.   It is working.   But the fans stay on very low. The temperature is 59 degrees Celsius for the gpu.  I thought that the fans only come on when do heavy work loads?    My case is a Enermax iVektor case.  I have two front 120mm SP intake fans, one rear 120mm fan, and a 240mm aio cooler for my cpu which has two 120mm fans blowing air out of the case through the radiator. I have space for one bottom mounted fan.

Is this normal for the gpu or should I put the bottom fan in the case to make the case more cool inside?

900 series cards don't raise their fan speed until around 65C.

You could also download MSI Afterburner and set a custom fan curve.

980Ti fans stay off until the GPU reach 60°.

Ok, that means my case is too hot? The moment I started the computer, the gpu read 59-60 degrees Celsius.

Depends on Number and kind of your Display. 1440p+ will generate more Heat than 1080p or below.

With my old 1080p Diplay my idle was 45°, now with 1440p its 60°. max temp went from 69° to 72°. No big Deal.

Ok, I have a 1440p monitor.  So the gpu temps are normal?

Yes. The Load Temps are almost not touched be the higher Resoltuion. The Fan Speed will compensate it.

Your case is still hot. I'm running a 1440p monitor and the baller setup below and at idle my overclocked 980ti (same as yours) is only 35-39C (fans off) (but that's at least in part due to my aio for the cpu and very high airflow.)

I also did change my fan curve to turn fans on above 50C instead of 65C because with this case (and my other fans) I can't even hear the gpu fans until like 80%.

Its nothing to be concerned about though.
