Dear readers,

I recently bought a splitter cable for Turtle Beach Z11's, and I was excited to finally have it, as I could only use the headphones prior to this moment. However, when I plugged it in and tried to work it, it was a disaster. The microphone... Wasn't even registering where the mic is at. When I tapped the arc of the headset, near the ear guard part, it registered sound THERE for some off reason, and when I called a friend on steam, he said it had mad echo, and I was scared when I did "Test Microphone" on steam's settings due to this sound. Is there something I'm missing? I made sure the two plugs were in the correct spots on my computer... I am running Windows 7, and can provide any extra needed information, just please specify what is needed.

I would also like to proceed my post with questions on suggestions for budget laptops, however I suppose I will do that in the correct forum area. Anyways, thank you for reading this. All help appreciated.

Sincerely,

Shiro Ugami.

Check to make sure the splitter cable is compatible with your headset.

Check to make sure that the cables are connected to their proper ports on your computer.
