This problem seems to come and go... When i start my pc up I hear a grinding noise and I'm fairly confident that its my hard drive making the noise. The solution I have found is to let it boot into windows then restart my pc, the grinding noise stops but I have to do this every time. I don't think its dying though I cant still access all my files on it without any issues.
