Nvidia power control on linux?

I'm dual booting Windows7/Ubuntu14.04 on a computer, and am running a GTX 460 on a dual-screen system.

With no configuration, this dual-screen setup results in my graphics card idle at 60C.

On Windows, I've been able to drop the idle temps by 15~20C with the NVIDIA Power saver tool, specifically the Multi-Display Power Saver:

I've looked around for a Linux equivalent, but can't seem to find one.

Am I stuck here on Linux? Anyone else had issues with multi-display Linux setups? I'm on NVIDIA Driver 346.87 (opensource).

Here's what happens when I turn off my second monitor. 20+C cooler in 5 minutes.

(The 3 spikes reflect me being impatient and working on stuff instead of letting the computer sit)

Waiting for the next amazing Mini ITX case!
