Display problems - GFX defective?

Hi.

I have had a few problems with my pc. Sometimes my primary screen does not register a input from the GFX Card. It turns on, but goes back to sleep. Mostly i can turn on my secondary screen and it will be set as default primary screen. showing the desktop etc.

My solution to this is either restart the computer (sometimes several times) and sometimes it is enough to turn on the primary screen manually, and both screens will get a signal Again.

At times running a game (just using the pc) my primary screen will lose signal for 1 sec. and come back flickering and then stabalizing during a couple of seconds then be back to normal. This only happens ones per restart, never twice.

At first i thought it was a bad display port cable. But lately i have had a new issue. At startup, both screens will flicker slowly between White and Black, nothing else happens. After several restarts it will Again Work as it should. Since its now both screens having issues im thinking my GFX Card is flawed.

I recently installed 355.82. And for some reason i had to make a custom setting to get 60fps at 4k. But i am fairly sure that is a driver issue, nothing more.

Everything above has been going on through several drivers and with win 7 and win 10 (no difference)

On a side note, someone told me i have a very bad silicone. i experimented with overclocking the Card. and even 100mhz on the core was not stable. voltage did not change anything. Temps never exceeded 55c

Does anyone have a sugestion? Customer support is REALY bad so i would very much like to be sure the GFX is bad before i RMA it....

specs as follows.

Asus Z87 Pro V

Intel i7 4770K

evga GTX 780 hydro copper.

16 gb ram (cant remember the make) 1333mhz

bequiet powersupply 600w

primary display Phillips Brilliance 288P 4k (display port)

secondary display Viewsonic ? 1080p (DVI)

no overclocking while experiencing the problems.

Left anything out? tell me :-)

Had an issue with displayports not even working once 355.82 was installed. Go look at the nvidia subreddit. There are a few people with big problems with this new driver. https://www.reddit.com/r/nvidia/

i changed back to 353.xx last night, and got the correct resolution / hz back as default. But the other problems where there long before 355.82
